Wheeling Island Donates Thanksgiving Turkeys

WHEELING ISLAND DONATES THANKSGIVING TURKEYS
The 250 turkey donation is helping to feed the hungry this holiday season!

(Wheeling, WV – November 24th, 2010)  Wheeling Island Hotel-Casino-Racetrack is helping feed families in Ohio County this holiday season with a charitable donation of 250 turkeys to the Soup Kitchen of Greater Wheeling, The Wheeling Salvation Army, YWCA and Wheeling Health Right.

The organizations will be using the turkeys for Thanksgiving dinners and holiday gift baskets.
 
Wheeling Island purchased frozen turkeys as a Thanksgiving gift for each of their 950 associates. In the spirit of giving, some Wheeling Island associates chose to donate their turkey to the charitable organizations in preparation for Thanksgiving Day. 

”We've been donating turkeys to the community for the last 5 years. These turkeys will go a long way in providing families and individuals with a good meal during the holidays,” stated Kim Florence, Director of Marketing at Wheeling Island.
