Peter Chiarelli is the general manager of the Boston Bruins, one of the original six franchises in the National Hockey League. Jeremy Jacobs and Delaware North Companies own the Boston Bruins and the team's home arena, TD Garden.
Chiarelli has served in his current post since 2006. He is in charge of every aspect of the team’s hockey operations and also serves the club as a member of the NHL Board of Governors.
Chiarelli gained experience working with the Ottawa Senators earlier in his career. He held such titles as director of legal relations and assistant general manager. Chiarelli also played four seasons of college hockey at HarvardUniversity.
A native of Ottawa, Chiarelli obtained his law degree from the University of Ottawa and was admitted to the bar in 1993.
