Wendy A. Watkins is vice president of corporate communications for Delaware North Companies, a global leader in hospitality and food service. With more than $2 billion in annual annual revenue and 50,000 employees, it is one of the largest privately held companies in the world.
In this role, Watkins oversees all of the corporate public relations, marketing, advertising and branding efforts for Delaware North. Prior to joining Delaware North in 2000, Watkins spent 10 years with the Marriott family of companies holding senior roles in corporate communications, public relations and marketing. While at Host Marriott Services, she was instrumental in the development of the company’s corporate brand positioning strategy, which helped earn the company a ranking as one of Fortune magazine’s most admired food service companies.
Previously, Watkins held executive positions with Brandywine Enterprises and LaNier Associates. In both of these roles she took active roles in community relations, advertising and public relations.
Watkins received a bachelor’s degree in journalism from the University of Missouri. She is a member of several national and local professional, community and charity organizations.
