Delaware North Chairman Jeremy M. Jacobs was honored May 5 with the UB Alumni Association's Philip B. 
Wels Award.
The honor is given annually to an individual or group whose contributions advance the University at Buffalo (UB) for a specific purpose, or who have advanced the university's quality of life by serving in a voluntary capacity for a significant period of time.
Mr. Jacobs, who is pictured at right at the event with UB President Satish Tripathi, has held numerous volunteer positions with UB, and he and his family have made more than $50 million in donations to the institution. In 1998, he was appointed chairman of the UB Council, the advisory board to the university’s president, and he continues to hold that position today.
