Sea Crest Beach Hotel and Delaware North donate $5,000 to support the Falmouth Service Center

Parks and resorts division of global hospitality company holding annual meeting at Sea Crest

NORTH FALMOUTH, Mass., and BUFFALO, N.Y. (Feb. 10, 2017) – Sea Crest Beach Hotel and its new owner, global hospitality and food service company Delaware North, on Thursday donated $5,000 to the Falmouth Service Center to help support its mission to serve those in need.

Announcing the donation (pictured from left to right) were Delaware North Group President Jim Houser, Delaware North Parks and Resorts Division Chief Operating Officer Mike Phillips, Delaware North Parks and Resorts Regional Vice President Paul Jeppson and Sea Crest General Manager Clark Guinn.

“Delaware North and the Jacobs family make it a high priority for the company to be a part of and support the communities where we operate,” Houser said. “We are thrilled to be at Sea Crest this week and gratified that we can help such an important community organization as the Falmouth Service Center.”

The center works with the community to educate, support, and improve the quality of life of Upper Cape residents in need. Individuals, schools, organizations, and the faith community contribute not only financial donations but also food, clothing, and other necessary goods to the Falmouth Service Center. A key program is an extensive food pantry for clients and residents.

"I want to thank Delaware North and Sea Crest Beach Hotel for this generous donation,” said Brenda Swain, executive director of the Falmouth Service Center. “Contributions from businesses on the Cape are vital to the Falmouth Service Center’s ability to help many people in many ways.”

The parks and resorts division meeting at Sea Crest is being sponsored by Delaware North partners Pepsico and Fiji Water. In addition to meetings on best practices across the division’s properties in the United States and Australia, the division presented its annual awards at a dinner Thursday.

Delaware North acquired Sea Crest in July 2016, the company’s first owned lodging property in the eastern United States and New England. Delaware North already has a major presence in New England as the owner-operator of TD Garden and joint venture partner on The Hub on Causeway, a 1.7-million-square-foot, mixed-use development project on the land where the original Boston Garden stood.
