Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex and Lockheed Martin Kick-Off Astronaut Training Experience® Title Sponsorship

 WHAT: On Thursday, August 16, Lockheed Martin will officially kick-off its sponsorship of the new Astronaut Training Experience® (ATX) at NASA’s Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex. After the ceremony, students from Stone Middle School and Southwest Middle School will take part in the Astronaut Training Experience program and train like the next generation of space explorers who will travel to Mars via immersive simulation technology.
As part of its sponsorship, Lockheed Martin has loaned Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex a full-scale mock-up of an interactive deep space habitat that visitors can walk through to see concepts of how astronauts will soon work in orbit around the Moon.
