The 2009 U.S. Astronaut Hall of Fame Inductees George "Pinky" Nelson, William Shepherd and Jim Wetherbee are joined by 25 fellow Hall of Famers in the Rocket Garden at Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex May 2, 2009.

Jim Wetherbee

Jim Wetherbee (Captain, USN Ret.), who commanded five of the six space shuttle missions he flew during his 19 years in the NASA Astronaut Corps, will be inducted into the U.S. Astronaut Hall of Fame on May 2, 2009.

George "Pinky" Nelson

George "Pinky" Nelson (Ph.D.), a member of the first spacewalking team to repair a satellite in-orbit, will be inducted into the U.S. Astronaut Hall of Fame on May 2, 2009.

William Shepherd

William Shepherd (Captain, USN), commander of the the first crew to man the International Space Station (ISS), will be inducted into the U.S. Astronaut Hall of Fame on May 2, 2009.
