A Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex public relations department representative must escort your film crew at all times.

Blackout Dates: Due to the large volume of guests December 22 – January 1, Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex will not support filming.

Due to launch opportunities, film crews could be moved or canceled at any time due to staffing, launch viewing and special events.

Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex follows these media usage guidelines on the agency’s policy for supporting media projects.

News Media: Please allow a few days notice.

Feature Production/Film Crews: Please provide four-weeks advance notice for approval of the project/program.
All requests must receive NASA approval. Film crews containing foreign nationals should provide at least one month advance notice for badging purposes.

A public relations staff member will provide a schedule based on your request and needs. Please review the scheduled locations and times thoroughly in advance.

Please note: Media wishing to cover NASA facilities/property should contact the NASA press site at Kennedy Space Center at 321-867-2468 or click here to visit their website.

Rocket Launch Filming Requests: Due to the large volume of guests on launch days, Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex offers limited support for filming and media requests.
We are unable to review filming requests until rocket launch dates and times are confirmed. Once a rocket launch date is confirmed, please submit a Filming Location Request Form with the proposed film date for review.
Please be advised, filming requests relating to rocket launches are reviewed on a case-by-case basis. If your request does not include a travel, tourism angle or cover the launch experience at Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex, please reach out to the launch provider directly for rocket launch filming.
