Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex Lights Up the Night During Kennedy Under the Stars

Popular After-Hours Event Returns to Visitor Complex August 30

CAPE CANAVERAL (June 5, 2025) – KENNEDY SPACE CENTER – Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex is turning back the clock 25 years for some Y2K nostalgia during this summer’s Kennedy Under the Stars, an exclusive after-hours event taking place August 30 at 6:30 p.m. Back by popular demand, tickets are now on sale for the evening event which combines fan favorite Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex attractions with an inter-galactic glow party designed to showcase the visitor complex after dark.

Bringing to life the colors of the cosmos through numerous illuminated experiences, the popular event, which launched in 2024, will feature an early 2000’s video DJ in the Rocket Garden, a techno DJ dance party in NASA Central, Cosmic Glow Mini Golf under the massive Saturn 1B rocket, multisensory science experiments from the visitor complex STEAM Team, glowing bar and lounge areas, and photo-worthy live entertainment.

Guests can join the Ortega Observatory of Florida Tech for a journey through the cosmos, using state-of-the-art telescopes to witness breathtaking views of celestial wonders while hearing fascinating insights. This immersive stargazing experience brings the universe closer, sparking curiosity and wonder for all ages.

Additionally, guests will have the exclusive opportunity to spend a Saturday night with veteran NASA astronauts Ellen Ochoa and Mike Foreman, who will meet with guests throughout the evening.

“Kennedy Under the Stars has grown into one of our most anticipated events, giving our guests the opportunity to explore immersive exhibits after hours, enjoy engaging entertainment, and the rare opportunity to mingle with astronauts,” said Therrin Protze, chief operating officer, Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex. “This event blends 2000s nostalgia with today’s cutting edge space attractions, making it an unforgettable night celebrating the wonder of space exploration.”

Many of the main attractions at the visitor complex will stay open late, allowing more time to venture to other worlds in Spaceport KSC®, get up close to actual flight-flown artifacts like space shuttle Atlantis, feel the rumble aboard the Shuttle Launch Experience®, virtually collect lunar minerals along the Moon’s surface in the Hyperdeck VR experience, climb among the stars in Planet Play, and more.

Food and beverages will be available for purchase throughout the night and select retail stores will remain open as well so guests can add to their collection of NASA gear. Annual passholders will receive discounts on food and 30 percent savings on retail items.

Interplanetary, space-themed outfits are encouraged but for security reasons, costume masks that conceal faces are prohibited, as are any props that resemble weapons. Tickets for Kennedy Under the Stars are $65 plus tax, per person. To purchase tickets and for more information, click here.
