The Astronauts Memorial Foundation’s annual NASA Day of Remembrance will this year commemorate the 50^th anniversary of the Apollo 1 tragedy, and will be held on January 26, 2017 at 10 a.m. at the Astronauts Memorial Foundation hall, located in the Center for Space Education Building at the Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex.

Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex launched its holiday season last night with the premiere of the Holidays in Space video display, which this year provided visitors with a glimpse of a future Mars habitat.

Holidays in Space is Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex’s unique high-tech holiday celebration, featuring a custom, space and holiday themed projection mapping show set against the side of a Saturn 1B rocket. 

A ceremony was held at Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex this afternoon to honor NASA astronaut and Ohio Senator John Glenn, the first American to orbit the Earth, who passed away on Dec. 8, at the age of 95.

For the 14th year, Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex and Brevard Public Schools are coming together to present Brevard Space Week. 

A blast of colors lit up the sky today at Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex in Florida above the new Heroes & Legends featuring the U.S. Astronaut Hall of Fame presented by Boeing. A spirited pyrotechnics display marked the opening of the new attraction, which was attended by more than 25 veteran and current NASA astronauts, including revered Gemini and Apollo space program astronauts Buzz Aldrin, James Lovell and Thomas Stafford.
