Each year, more than 1 million guests from around the world experience their very own space adventure by exploring the exciting past, present and future of America’s space program at Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex. In addition to the many attractions included with admission, behind-the-scenes tours and special programs offer even more engagement experiences.

There’s nothing quite like exploring the world through the eyes of a 4-year-old. That’s what inspired photographer and father Aaron Sheldon to start Small Steps are Giant Leaps, capturing his son Harrison experiencing the everyday world, dressed in an astronaut suit. That same spirit of exploration is brought to life at the Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex where Harrison was invited to have a special space experience.

Therrin Protze, chief operating officer of the Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex, today announced The Boeing Company as the title sponsor of the upcoming attraction Heroes & Legends, featuring the U.S. Astronaut Hall of Fame®. The news marks the first time in more than 50 years that the visitor complex has entered into an agreement with a corporate sponsor.

With all the drama of an actual trip to space, guests ofKennedy Space Center Visitor Complexin Florida will be greeted with a dramatic sense of arrival when the new Heroes & Legends featuring the U.S. Astronaut Hall of Fame®opens on November 11, 2016.Positioned just inside the entrance, the attraction will set the stage for a richer park experience by providing the emotional background and context for space exploration and the legendary men and women who pioneered our journey into space.

Calling the next generation of space explorers! Introducing Cosmic Quest – the only gameplay experience in the galaxy featuring real NASA missions. Launch a rocket, redirect an asteroid, build a Martian habitat and meet Robonaut!

Exciting space adventures are now a reality at Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex. Its newest visitor experience –Cosmic Quest– an interactive live-action game experience, designed by Creative Kingdoms, engages and inspires young guests known as “trainees” like never before by immersing them in a number of STEM-based (science, technology, engineering and math) space adventures while teaching them about NASA’s current and future space science and exploration endeavors.

Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex today broke ground on a next-generation attraction designed to touch the hearts and minds of the next generation of space explorers – Heroes and Legends, featuring the U.S. Astronaut Hall of Fame®, scheduled to open in 2016.

When guests visit SpaceShuttle Atlantis, they will be treated to a sight previously seen only by astronauts in space – Atlantis tilted at a 43.21-degree angle with its payload bay doors open as if it has just undocked from the International Space Station (ISS).
