Viral Space Enthusiast Returns to Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex for Behind the Scenes Tour after Wednesday’s Artemis II Launch

CAPE CANAVERAL (April 3, 2026) – KENNEDY SPACE CENTER – Two days following the historic Artemis II launch, Hilt Boling is back at Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex. This time, he met with veteran astronaut Wendy Lawrence, enjoyed a behind-the-scenes tour, and explored immersive experiences like Spaceport KSC®, New Shepard: Flight to Space VR, and HYPERDECK.

Hilt went viral on Wednesday after CNN interviewed him just before launch. An avid space fan, he and his mom came to the visitor complex to get the closest view of the launch possible. And now he’s had an even closer look at the space program through the experiences available at the visitor complex.

“Hilt’s passion and knowledge of space impressed everyone at Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex,” said Howard Schwartz, interim Chief Operating Officer, Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex. “Our mission is to inspire the next generation through experiences that are both thrilling and educational. We are proud that Hilt and thousands of young people like him find inspiration at the visitor complex.”
