There’s no better place to be on the morning of Thursday, Dec. 4 than Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex, where guests can witness firsthand Exploration Flight Test-1, or EFT-1, the test flight of the uncrewed Orion spacecraft from America’s gateway to space and experience a complete pre-launch-to-post-splashdown program, including Orion-related activities, exhibits, astronaut appearances and live coverage and commentary.

Launch Viewing Tickets On Sale Now at Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex for Historic First Launch of Orion Spacecraft Dec. 4
On Thursday, Dec. 4, NASA is scheduled to launch its uncrewed Orion spacecraft into space for the very first time, making history as the spacecraft travels 15 times farther from the Earth than the International Space Station (ISS). This first flight paves the way for future flights that will carry astronauts to asteroids, Mars and beyond. Now, Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex is giving its guests the chance to share in this historic mission, called Exploration Flight Test-1, or EFT-1, with a variety of exclusive launch viewing opportunities and special events.

NASA Astronauts Honor U.S. Army Veteran Seriously Wounded in Iraq During Ceremony at Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex
In the spirit of Veterans Day, NASA astronauts recently gathered at Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex to honor Sgt. Russ Marek, a U.S. Army veteran who lost an arm and a leg and suffered a severe brain injury in Iraq in 2005.

Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex guests at the Apollo/Saturn V Center inside Kennedy Space Center experienced the unforgettable sights, sounds and earth-shaking vibrations of an Atlas V rocket launch today at 1:21 p.m. United Launch Alliance launched the Atlas V rocket to carry the GPS IIF-8 satellite.
